Type of a scam Tech Support
New brother printer, couldn’t get it to connect wirelessly, and couldn’t locate the help number on the manual so googled it.
Got the number above and talked with two Indian gentlemen, I assume. Long long call, telling me I had too many threads and the network couldn’t handle my printer….suspicious. Asked if they for sure were reps of Brother—-"of course!"
Bottom line $149.99 to clean this all up. "No worries, we can do this fast." When I told him "no way" and to get off my screen, he surely didn’t want to and kept warning me that I’d be sorry if I didn’t sign up for their service.
And BTW when I called Brother Customer Support they didn’t seem one bit concerned.
Yikes!!
I have changed all my passwords this still feels nasty. Still concerned about the safety of my computer.
