Total money lost $179.96

Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

I lost $179.96 and I did not received any forms or papers to complete. I did not received any documents that said I won a Bahamas Cruise Vacation. Everything was verbally told to me over the phone.

Brooksdale Travell has not as of today returned my $179.96 that I paid for a Free Bahamas Cruise.

The box was at a local restaurant in Lakewood, CO to enter to win a free vacation. I was texted a copy of my entry and advised I won the vacation. Upon further review online, it looks like a number of people have been drawn into this and reported it as a scam.

Brooksdale Travel places a sweepstakes kiosk at multiple locations (hotels, malls, restaurants) around central and costal Floridian cities, claiming to be a legitimate travel agency. Consumers place an entry into the box, and a few weeks later they find out that they’ve won! Congratulations! However, the free vacation you entered to win is not free, in fact, they will essentially lure you into paying the entire total for a Bahamas vacation, including service fees for their agency. Consumers should be advised to not give credit card information to Brooksdale Travel or Bahamas5-4.com

I put my name in a drawing to win a "free Bahamas cruise" for 4 days and 3 nights. We were at a decent resturant so I trusted it, and they called saying I won. I was excited at first, but when I called the number provided, I got a recording. When I finally spoke to a person, they advised I had 4 days to pay them 20$ a person to "hold" the cruise. I thought that was slightly odd so I said I’d call back. Their Instagram and Facebook were only 2 weeks old. I posted on their page asking if anyone else "won" and turns out, MULTIPLE others did as well. I called back to request an e-mail with information about the cruise line, etc. and the woman on the phone said it HAD to be on the phone ONLY for legal reasons. I work along side law enforcement, I am unsure what law they are referring to.

i entered myself into a raffle at a chinese restauraunt 7/10/18. On 8/27/18, i got a message from a travel site stating i won a free 4 day, 3 night vacation to bahamas. I called them and the minute i asked a difficult question or a question in regards to money, they put me on hold. They told me it was a 60$ fee for meand my guest to transport via cruise line. Also there was a 20$ fee for each of us to create an account online to set up our registrations. I told them, i would fly instead of using there cruiseline. I also stated that could create my own account on the website. They started scrambling to get a lie together and eventually hung up on me

Stay away cancel your credit card. YOU DID NOT WIN. This is not a free trip and will cost you a lot of money. When you call back with questions nobody can answer them. You have to send an on-line chat. Which no one replies to.
