My boyfriend was approached by two men in a company van that claimed to sell home theater projectors that cost $5000. Due to some issue, they needed to get rid of one that they had. They claimed that it had many specifications (listed on their website as well) and that they would sell it for a cost much lower than what it actually costs. The packaging on the projector was very believable and even had a price of $5,499. My boyfriend ended up paying him through the Cash app and the scammer claimed his name was Chris Dawson.
