I posted a sale of a car on Craigslist for my grandson. I got a text message from a Brett Scott saying he definitely wants the car and do not sell it. He was going to send me a bank check for the car and extra to pay for transport of the car to Minnesota. Well, I get the check for double of what the asking price of the car. Not a bank check. Red flag! The check if from AJC Logistics in Atlanta, GA and the envelope is from TCR Corporation in Minnesota. Nothing else was in the envelope such as any information about him, his address, or means of transportation for the vehicle. Red Flag! I googled the address, when he texted me his residence and his name did not show up. Red flag! I called the Attorney General’s office and was told that this is a major scam. If I cashed the check, no matter how long it took, I would be liable to pay back the funds to the bank and I would be out the money I sent to the transport company.
