Total money lost $2,000
Type of a scam CryptoCurrency
This individual is a scammer and a fraudulent person. She refers to herself as Penelope Layla. Her Instagram title is @forex_layla. Her only means of communication to her "investors" is through Instagram messaging. This person is not a legitimate trader. She has unfortunately stolen just over $2,000 from me personally. She sounds very convincing. She will send you personal messages on a daily basis and try to get very close to you. She will be very personal and share information with you including personal photos of herself and her young son for example. She will, however, never speak with you on the phone. She claimed she never had time to speak on the phone. Yet she would be messaging her supposedly "thousands" of clients through Instagram messaging. She will promise you incredible returns of $20,000 to $25,000 after only one to two weeks of trading with an initial investment of $1,000 to $1,500 to start with. She works through Coinbase as her means to trade. She has a server that will essentially take over your Coinbase account. As I have stated prior, this person has taken $2,000 from me personally and has attempted to take an additional $2,500 before I stopped her. I know I will never see my money again, unfortunately. I have filed a case with my bank in the hopes of possibly getting my money back and stopping this individual for good. I do not want this to happen to anyone else. Due to the nature of this fraudulent activity, I think it is quite possible that this person may be running a Ponzi Scheme. Her promised returns are too large and do not make sense.
