Type of a scam Government Grant
Messages started around 4:20 PM EST. He mentioned "I was wondering if you heard from United nations Democracy fund agency yet ?" and that it was a CNN grant. I looked it up and the maximum amount was $3,000 and he said he got $60,000. The grants were for people who really needed them, and I know my cousin wouldn’t qualify (nor would I). He wanted to give me a phone number to call them, and I told him I would call my cousin and see if this were him (it turned out not to be). I blocked him on Messenger, because the title of the message said it was a recently-created Messenger account.
