Type of a scam Nigerian/Foreign Money Exchange
Received a fax at work. that came to a satltelite office that I work out of. Letter indicated that someone with my last name had died in an accident in Canada 9 years ago. Letter indicated that the deceased had been a client of his law firm and they were trying to locate next of kin, without success. Since I had same last name and born in same area, they could produce legal documentation to award the $9,820,000 to me. If I would give 10% to charity and we would split the rest 50/50. Said money being held in a "reputable bank".
Every aspect screams scam to me. I am curious how they were able to find me and send a fax to work location. Google search also verified scam.
