My 93 yr old blind mother who also has mild dementia, who still lives at home, was contacted by phone by this company not even in her city. They then traveled 100 miles to collect $728.00 from her for a service she did not need. I am her daughter and discovered she had given them a check back in March of 2015. I made this discovery on October 1, 2015, after finding papers and her cancelled check. I have tried to contact the company and only get a vague recording that says, "the person is not available." I’ve left my name and number for them to call me back. Of course, no response.
The paperwork I found is for a 3 year maintenance agreement. My mother’s name is not on the contract, nor did she sign it. Handwritten at the bottom is ‘No Refunds."
I consider this outright exploitation and fraud of an elderly person and in no way, should they have solicited my mother for any service or funds. The paper states "initial service rendered", but in fact, a local company, with whom my mother does have a service contract and has for years, subsequently needed to come out and do some repairs to her unit. There has been no contact or correspondence from Bid-Well Air, LLC since, but they certainly cashed my mother’s check!
