Type of a scam Online Purchase
After inquiring about a pet for sale I was contacted by the supposed owner. I was sent pictures, videos and information pertaining to the dog I was intending to purchase. I was explained the dog would be shipped and sent to me via EMS shipping(which was also a fake page set up to emulate the real shipping company). After reviewing the contract I sent the seller a payment of $700.00, $600 for the dog and $100 for shipping. After the deadline approached for the delvery I began to get skeptical as my mother did some investigating. She found the email addresses to be phishy and started looking into the shipping company. I contact the REAL EMS shipping and found the shipping details they gave me were fake. I then searched scams related to this website and found others that had been scammed. The called me all night and this morning stating now my dog is stuck in Maine at the airport and they need $1000.00 more for me to get my dog. I am contacting the police and my attorney. I pray that others do not become a victim of this company.
Not only are they defrauding themselves stating they are selling animals(which they are not, they are defrauding a major corporation EMS Shipping. They even created a fake portal to try and replicate theirs.this is the address they are using for that…( [email protected] )
Please help me! I am a college student and a fulltime health worker working fulltime through this horrible epidemic.
