Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Received a email and text from a Herbert Michael stating I have been approved as an agent and requested to reply back to accept or decline offer. Also requested today, if I received the check in the amount of $***. To evaluate cashier and store greeter at Walmart. Instructions state to deposit check. Take out my $*** fee. Buy $** if personal products and moneygram the rest. But still evaluate the cashier. I called the credit union where the check is cashed to verify funds and check number. Representative stated today that no cashiers check could be located with the check number I provided. So it is fake! I told Mr. Herbert Michael, as stated on email and text, on USPS letter name shown isz MICHAEL H. STEVEN. WAIVED my signature. I told him I got it and decided not to survey walmart abd ripped up the check.
