Type of a scam Charity
Receiving calls from BC Children’s Hospital but the calls are originating from Malaysia. Woman on phone is well spoken and has no accent. She thanks me for my support of the BC Children’s Hospital ("BCCH"). She asks that I participate in the new thing that BCCH is rolling out. They will send me a box that you put in your house and you and any persons in your family can throw their change in their. Then when you keep it for a month, I was to tally up the money and write a cheque to send to them for the same amount. I asked them why the call was coming from Malaysia and they hung up on me.
