Type of a scam Phishing
I did not get much information because the first time they called, I ignored it. But it called right back so I thought it was someone from my volunteer work trying to get in touch with me about a deadline.
The scammer said "Hi, this is Claire. Can you hear me ok? (pause) Our bathroom remodel company is in your area…. "
During the pause I said, " Yes but Claire what company are you with?" then when I heard the automation continue I recognized it as such and hung up. I then called back and got a recorded message telling me to press 1 for an agent or 2 for a request to be taken off the no call list. I pressed one and it said all agents were busy but to leave your email address…
