My father called the chiro office to check pricing. He was told the initial visit would be covered completely by medicare and a supplemental policy. However, after the initial visit, the secretary handed him a bill for $70.00, saying he had agreed to it. He hadn’t. When questions about this, the chiro said it was my dad’s responsibility to check the fine print. Although my father lives on Social Security, the chiro is sending a collection agency after him.
This is bad business. It is also very bad medicine and elder abuse.
