My mother received a call from a company called B & L. Caruso Litigation stating she owed money on a credit card from her deceased husband and if she didn’t pay them they would put a lein on her home. My mother was so upset and worried that she used another credit card to pay this so called debt off without checking into it further. We are concerned that this company is a scam & my mother has lost out on a lot of money because when I called Capital One to investigate about this "so called debt" my deceased father had, they had no record of him having an account with them under the account number they provided us with, no account by his social security number or full name. The information this so called company sent my mother in the mail was also hand written with no return address on it.
