Type of a scam Phishing
Contacted by same person just yesterday and declined this offer.
This time more alarm manufacturers were specifically named that they work with to provide me, as a "give back" to the manufacturer’s, a free upgrade to my alarm system. What information they had was all public. Information regarding my installation was incorrect on manufacturers and quantities … this was a phishing effort. Personal information they provided was all in the public domain. Information beyond public information was either not brought up or was inaccurate. There were subtitle probes for additional information which was either not provided or inaccurate information was conveyed.
This time I was told people would come to my home. I explicitly stated, as I did the day before and in no unclear terms, I was not interested and declined the offer and that my information should be removed from their systems.
I will entertain conversations with known local Law Enforcement or personally known members of the local BBB.
