Type of a scam Utility
A fake Austin Energy imposter called me at my business to inform me that they were coming to shut my energy off in 25 min. Would not give me a reason on why it was being cut off, just that it was a "work order" I had placed. They only had my phone number and address, they would not give me a person of contact who made this request when I prompted them to tell me. I asked to speak to their supervisor and they put me on hold, the same person came back saying he was someone else and I promptly told them you are not a real business and hung on them. Every number prompt on the answering service when I called that seemed "legit" was "incorrect access key", the only one that worked was to talk to that one person. Talk about freaked me out!!
