Type of a scam Government Grant
I was contacted and told that I win a grant for $180, 000.00 dollars. They came in the guise of my cousin who I thought I was texting back and forth with from her number in my contacts and.even sent me her picture. They acted like her saying that she had just received her grant blessing via ups in cash dollars. I was then told to text the attorney at 432-363-5777. From their I was asked to complete a firm with basic info like name address, marital status, etc. Then they said I was eligible to receive it and all I had to do was go to like Walmart or kroger’s purchase $700 in 100 increments gift cards. Scratch the barcode numbers and send them a picture of the cards. My fake cousin said she had done it and they delivered via ups $180,000. In cash plus the $700 she had used to purchase the cards. That it was for some funds transfer fee. I called my cousin and found I had not been texting her at all but some scam artist.
