Type of a scam Employment
I received an unsolicited ‘job offer’ via email from ‘Susan’. The job claimed to pay $3000 per month to work from home repackaging mail.
First of all, I didn’t apply for a work from home job. Secondly, the email was very vague on all aspects of the job except that they needed a copy of my driver’s license/ID and a recent bill – so they could do a ‘criminal background check’ and ‘verify’ my address.

Type of a scam Identity Theft
I received an email with the subject "Job Offer for [they used my first name] #***." It was very clear this was an identity theft attempt as they stated they would need documents to confirm my identity in the first paragraph of the email. While the company appears to have a legitimate website, I was unable to locate them on LinkedIn. Also, the address they provide on their website is actually the address for D.C. Department of Human Services.
Here is a copy of the email:

Type of a scam Employment
This company reached out offering $3000/month to receive and ship parcels. They requested a copy of my government ID and a bill with my name and address so they can run a background check. After research, it appears that this "job" is illegal. Receiving parcels with prepaid postage, taking digital photos, and shipping parcels. I did not send any information to the scammers so I avoided being victimized.
