Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
They said they were a third party calling on behalf of an Atlanta Mortgage Company. They were trying to verify my employment. I don’t live in the state of Georgia and have a current mortgage. They even had the name of my employer’s business name. Which I don’t even say when I answer calls. I called my Mortgage Company, who is the lender and don’t sell their loans. They said they don’t need to verify my employment and do not use a third party to call their customers. I also have an alert on my credit reports so if there is suspicious activity, they will call me if there are any changes to my credit report.
