Total money lost $158.84

I ordered two wedding dresses from ASOS.com. I live in NL Canada and this company is located in the USA. The address I provided is of their distribution centre that shipped it to me. The total cost was $414.80 and it specified free delivery. I have a photo stating that for my order but it seems I can only attach one photo here, When I picked them up from Canada Post, I was charged a $158.84 Collect of Delivery fee. Receipt attached. Canada post confirmed that it is not a customs fee and is a fee that was added by the shipper. They also confirmed that the third party shipper that had it before Canada post could not have added the fee. Asos denies this and will not refund me in the amount of the fee. I’ve since learned that many people who’ve ordered from ASOS have been charged COD fees as well. They usually are lower, so it seems some people brush it off thinking it’s from customs, or I because it’s a lot of work to try to get it back when it’s a small amount.

Ordered from the website. Was contacted by customer care informing me they had cancelled my order and required my identifying information (identification, credit card statement) to validate my email address. Provided requested information. Business informed me they were cancelling my account without any reason as to why.
