Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Was offered chance to be secret shopper for local grocery store. Agreed as it seemed like a good thing to do that wouldn’t take much time. Once I got the "package" I knew it was fake. Got a cashiers check for thousands of dollars with instructions to put the check in the bank and take out the entire amount from my account. I was to keep $400 and use the rest to buy Ebay gift cards at my local CVS and send the card numbers and pin numbers to my contact at the business. I never communicated as it was as scam and the language in the texts was not very good. Last text I got was I was being sued by the company and they had contacted the FBI and I could expect to see them at my doorstep in 72 hours.
