Type of a scam Debt Collections
Our family members were contacted by a company claiming to be an Arbitration Firm for a company called Tior LLC. They claimed they were looking for my mother. When she contacted this Firm, they claimed she owed money from 2012 to this Tior LLC company and if she didn’t pay right then they will take her to court.
I’m her daughter, I called on my mother’s behalf to see if I can make since of this since my mother never borrowed money from this company. This Arbitration Firm would not give us any proof they claimed they had nor would they provided legitimate information of who my mother would pay. They are harassing her and calling family members to tell my mother to pay, they can’t provide proof, just threats.
I read bbb info. on this company and other complaints. It seems there are many complaints of people being harassed by different companies claiming to be associated with this Tior LLC which I see is no longer doing business. I have reason to believe these are scammers using different company names but all points back to this Tior LLC.
Please help stop this scam from continuing.
