The scammer contacted me to allow their business advertisement on my car by placing an auto decal on it. They said I would get “$500 a week” and could have it on my car for up to 3 months. They sent me a check for $3578. I was told to go to Walmart and get a few BLANK checks for $1000 and $500 each. They were going to give me the address to the installer and told me to overnight the payment. My husband looked further into this and told me this has to be a scam after he read an article similar to my situation. I called my bank and held the funds. I’ll be charged for the overdraft but I don’t want anyone else to fall for this scam! They are pushy and want everything immediately because they just take advantage of immediate funds and then withdraw their money from their bank.
