After looking at all the reviews on yelp and the ScamPulse.com they do this to everyone.

They issue an $80 service call fee then tell you it will be around $300 to fix. They stay for 10 minutes and say it is something else that will cost over $1000. They leave don’t fix your appliance and charge the $300 not the $80.

When you call they will not give you a supervisor name and say that it is the account managers that own the company and they will not help.

It is a terrible company and they should be shut down.

My Fridge was not cooling and after searching online for an appliance repair company I called Appliance Repair team, (69 Connie Cres). They said they were able to come out the same day and told me the initial visit would be $80.00. I agreed. When the technician came to my house he looked in the back of my fridge and told me it was likely the starter. He installed a "3 in 1 relay start" and said the fridge was working. He then told me if it did not cool in 24-48 hours then he would need to come back and put in a new compressor. He told me the cost of installing the new compressor was $1660. He charged me $325 for the 3 in 1 relay start, another $280 for the service call (he said he performed several services which he did not do) and other charges and taxes totally $683.65. The fridge never worked.

After the technician completed his work he quickly ran through his invoice and asked me to sign in several places which I did. I gave him a credit card for payment but he told me it was cash or debit only. I argued briefly with him but he said I had signed the invoice acknowledging I would pay cash or debit. Note that I signed all parts of the invoice after all work had been completed.

Two days later a certified LG repair person from a different company came to my house. He told me the Technician from Appliance Repair Team had put a part in my fridge that didn’t belong. He told me that the part he incorrectly installed was never found in my type of fridge and that it costs $30 not $325. (I googled the part and confirmed it was only $30) He also showed me that the Appliance Repair Team technician had cut the wires in the back of my fridge. This technician knew of Appliance Repair Team. He said he had fixed things they had messed with before. He insinuated that I had been taken. The second technician took out the incorrect part, fixed the wires and tested my fridge. He ended up putting in a new compressor. He charged $570 for that visit which included the new compressor (the first company quoted $1660 for just the compressor installation).

I contacted Appliance Repair Team immediately, while the certified LG technician was still at my house repairing my fridge. I told them what was going on. I sent pictures of the part, (removed from my fridge), their invoice and the invoice from the second technician and asked for a full refund. They have said they will not refund me. They have argued with me and been rude and aggressive.

Appliance Repair team scammed me from the minute they came into my house.

They refuse to refund me for the bogus part and the "service" which never happened. The upcharged me almost $300 on a $30 part.

NO ONE should ever use this company. They are scammers.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, I scammed & now after reading other’s reviews realized I am not the only one. This company need to be shut down. I placed a call on a Sunday for a broken washing machine giving an error code. Found this company on the net and called as it said it was local. I was told someone would be there by the afternoon. I canceled all my plans and say and waited. By also dinner I called back and was told he was running behind but would be there. I inquired what time he worked till and was told 8pm. Rath, the name he gave showed up just after 7pm and made me wonder how he was going to repair a machine this quickly. He checked out the machine and spent some time with the lid off and pulling out some parts. Said the $80 service fee would be waived as he could fix it but the complete service call would be $300 plux tax. This meant he would have it all fixed for this price & ready to use. He worked away on it and just after 8 said it would done and charged me. Showed me one cycle and left. I started a next cycle and sure enough it didn’t work. I called him back as I had his cell number when he called to say he was almost there. He told me I’d have to call the office back the next day and re-schedule for him to come and have another look. Had trouble the next day booking an appt and then I knew something was up. When I was finally able to get a hold of someone to get him to come back, he came the next day and was in the basement for close to 2hrs. Then he tried to tell me I needed a pressure switch to fix it and would cost an additional $268.70. On top of the over $300 I had just given this company. No service is completed if I’m now on day 3 with no washing machine. He tried to tell me I could just keep the lid off and stand beside the machine while it runs and blow into a hose to get it to keep cycling. That is the craziest thing I ever heard, I’m going to stand beside the machine on a 40 min cycle the whole time while I have a little one left upstairs. On calling another repair company and told it didn’t require a new switch and really this "repair" guy Rath had actually removed a part from the machine. I personally don’t even think the repair people have any clue how to repair anything and never went to school for any repairs issues. Upon research, company is located in Vaughan, Ontario and have done the same scam to many others. Just think, 10 service calls in 1 day at $300 plus tax each and you didn’t even fix anything or replace a part. Wondering what the company will respond with for houses that have security cameras set up in their laundry rooms recording this whole scam
