I kept getting notices that my computer was infected with viruses and I had other issues and then an ominous looking notice came on screen telling me if I proceeded there would be damage to my files and that I should call a number reported to be Applecare. I fell for the scam and called. They charged me for the “fix” and for a 3-year service plan that I thought was from Applecare. They did remove the annoying pop ups. The bank transaction did not mention Applecare but on the memo line it read A Care LLC 1-888-473-0666/877-664-8646. And the bank check was made out to Charge-One. When I called the 888 number I was told it was out of service. The 877 number was to Charge-One.

It is an automated phone call stating my Apple iCloud has been compromised. I selected the option to speak to rep bc I knew it was a scam. It was an Indian guy who was very rude and used multiple profanities when asked to remove my number from the list. They call multiple times and leave voicemails.
