Type of a scam Tech Support

I have a Mac and my safari wasn’t working. I tried many different techniques before seeking help. Then I had a friend tell me to call AppleCare before going to the Apple Store. I haven’t had a problem with my Mac so I had never called AppleCare before. I googled AppleCare and once I did that, it said AppleCare with the number 855-986-6692. I called the number and the guy said Thank you for calling AppleCare, how can I help you. I could understand him but he did have an accent. He asked directed me to tech support. The tech support guy asked for my AppleID. He put me on hold and said that he will start working on it. He then came on the phone and said that I have several bugs and that they will start working on it. He put me on hold again. After so many minutes, he said that I had to go buy two iTunes card each for $100. I went to buy them and then I gave them the gift card numbers. He said that he promised me that I would get my money returned within 24 hours. It still wasn’t working so then they had me buy google play cards for different amounts. Promising me that I would get the money back in 24 hours. He took the last 4 digits of my card number which is linked with my AppleID. We lost connection at one time and then he called back with the number 888-214-6111. He said his name was Sam Peterson and my case number was W100874421.
