Claims I purchased FarmVille games on an apple device not registered to my account then gives a link to deny the charge then they will ask you to verify your account asking for ssn number and credit card number associated with your Apple account! I called Apple and they confirmed that they did not send the email.

An email that looked exactly like an invoice from apple came to my email box. When you click on the link to cancel the purchase it takes you to a page that looks EXACTLY like the homepage for apple. When the website started asking for personal information, including credit card information, I knew it was a scam. Looking at the URL, it ends with a .cc which is a web address ending for the Caicos Islands. DEFINITELY a SCAM.

I received an email from "Apple" thanking me for my order. It had another women’s name with my email. Below it it said resolution center, so I clicked on it. The screen said I needed to verify my identity and it looked like apples website, it required my social security number, also asked for my credit card information then it takes me to my account page with no evidence of an order or a charge. Felt like I was dropped back into apples site after my personal information was taken. The receipt emailed to my email was for an iphone cover $39.99. There was no order number and when my husband clicked on the header information it showed an icloud address. I contacted my credit union and placed a fraud alert on my credit reports, and filed this complaint to protect others but its too legit looking not to get scammed and when you see an unauthorized charge you automatically want to click on resolution center before doing some checking for scams.

My computer screen was covered in an alert telling me my computer was frozen, don’t close the page or it would be worse. Call the number on the screen which was apple support. They attached a virus to my computer. Luckily the real Apple helped get it reversed and I changed all my information, but beware.
