Type of a scam Phishing
I received an email from Apple Billing to confirm payment for an iCloud storage upgrade that I did not sign up for. I clicked to cancel, which routed me to the legitimate Apple site but for my security I have the two-step authentication process and when it alerted me of the sign in it said that I was trying to sign in from Frankfurt, Hesse. I am currently in Hope Mills, NC so I knew something was up. Low and behold when I clicked on the email address it was not from Apple it was from the jumbled email I sent in this report. Because I checked from my phone I also did not see the undisclosed recipients that also received the message. If you provide me an email address I can forward the original email to you so you have the link to investigate as well.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was contacted by "Michael Rogers" who said he was from Apple billing. He knew that I had purchased additional computer coverage in a while back. He said he was part of Apple billing and that I did not need this coverage because my computer was still covered under warranty. So they were going to refund the $400 I’ve spent. So he created a PayPal account to deposit money back into my checking account. The amount deposited looked to be $4000. So then I was asked to refund the overage of $3600 via iTunes cards. This is when I figure it out it was a scam and hung up. I am since then closed my accounts. Hopefully there will be no further repercussions.
