Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I was contacted through by phone by someone named Ron at Apollo Funding Solutions about securing funding for my Business. When I told him that I get calls like his all the time, and that my particular Business (Film Production) did not operate like a normal business he told me that I could still secure funding for my film. I checked the business website and everything looked well put together. They sent me an application and then proceeded to call me every hour or so before I finally sent it back in. Then a few days went by. I was finally contacted and told I would have to pay them $6,000 to secure the funding. It wasn’t until after this happened that I realized that they had all of my information (SSN, IEN, ect.), and I realized what the scam was actually trying to do, steal my personal and business information, likely in the hopes of securing loans and credit cards or opening lines of credit and such.
