Fake buyer insists I purchase a Title Report for my car for his lender. I checked the website and looks legit except for there are no Secure Certificates. Fake website he sent me was www.athreport.com which looks identical to the legitimate website www.threport.com. Appears to be phishing for personal credit card data to exploit through the fake website.

I’m selling a car and Anton Kalastnikau pretended to be an interested buyer. Seemed excited about the vehicle but said his bank needed a vehicle title report. Wouldn’t accept a CarFax report and wanted me to click on a link in the email to vthreport.com. Instead, I researched the site and found it it was only 6 months old and had a vincheck.com copyright. Scam to get you to pay $23.99 for a VIN# title check.
