I was offered a job position with an interview to work as a freelancer for this company Animax. They would pay for my computer but had to send me a check so that I could pay for the computer through a vendor. Having not done long-distance freelance before, it made sense. They sent me two checks and told me once I deposited them to wire transfer them to this vendor (this was after I refused to go buy gift cards for them). 1 day later (once the money is gone) the check bounced and I was left with a charge of that same check amount. After working with the company for a few days once the checks started to bounce the company was nowhere to be found.
