Caller from Georgia was quick to tell me I won a prize from American promotions. I said, that’s funny, I got a call on 4/11/18 telling me the same thing. I knew that was a scam. Caller quickly hung up.

I got call April 11, 2018 from Seth Logan at 202 754 8183 notifying me I was winning the 2nd place prize of $450,000 to be delivered within 24 hrs. I would receive a cashiers check. Paperwork was filed to pre-pay all taxes so I would get a W2G for showing this tax exemption. I would fill in the info and submit to the IRS. I would need to sign a release to the courier. A second check would arrive at same time. This would be my insurance delivery refund. I was asked to pay $4500 to serve as insurance delivery policy on the cashier prize. This was to safeguard potential theft by courier. I told Seth I did not believe this, particularly he cited an address I lived in 3 years ago.
I was skeptical so Seth told me to call American Promotions at 702 866 9308 who would verify this was a legitimate offer. This person read me a verification code. This code was not one I had or was given from Seth. It was made up.
Then Seth calls me back to ask if I’m ready to receive my cashier check. I told him my husband looked on line and saw this telephone number is a scam. He quickly hangs up.
