Type of a scam Family/Friend Emergency
5/19/2017 Received a call from a man stating he had just got a job down the road but was short of money to pay his rent on a room at American Inn, I assume being that the call came from there as per caller id . Said his wife and child were having to stay out in the hot because of lack of money to pay for room .After the call that I ended by telling him I could not help him I attempted to call said number to business that was on caller id to alert them that their phone # was being used for such purposes.The # on id was 1-254-772-3111 and the # to the said place was 254-772-3110 in the local directory, so I thought maybe it was legit , But there was no answer to the Inns #, Tried several times to contact with same result . Being that I ended the call as I did ,I did not get info. on how he wanted money given to him . was more concerned in letting the rest of Waco,Texas know this was going on . Hope no-one falls for it .
