Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I Received a "Cashier’s Check" from BMO Harris Bank for a mystery shopping assignment. The instructions are: 1. Send a text message to 909-293-3430 using the term "ASSIGNMENT RECEIVED" 2. Deposit the "cashier’s check" 3. Send a text message to 909-293-3430 using the term "FUNDS AVAILABLE". I inquired regarding ACE, with the ScamPulse.com of Utah who indicated it was flagged as a scam. I then confirmed with ScamPulse.com of Los Angeles that it is a scam as well. Additional instructions will follow.
