Type of a scam Tech Support
A foreign man called and said he was from the Amazon Fraud Department and that someone was trying to use my account to purchase a computer for $3,200. He said he was from Seattle, Washington and continued to ask a lot of questions and managed to get into my laptop and said my computer needed to be encrypted. The next thing he said was that he wanted me to buy something from him over the phone with a credit card. When I told him that my card had been hacked into already and I was waiting for a new card, he asked for cash. I told him that I did not have cash. And then he said, "Well, how are you living without cash"! Then I became extremely suspicious. I hung up and tried to call back and the numbers have no company listings.
