I answered an ad on Craigslist to rent a condo at the above address. Mr Walker communicated with my by phone and gave me the address to see the place. When I arrived, there was a lockbox, and no one home. I called Mr. Walker and he gave me the code for the box. It didn’t work. He said the technician has to come and fix it! I tried later that day, and still didn’t work, but I told him I was interested and would be back the following day to get in. That night he said I must send a refundable $500. moneygram to the person he said was the "secretary" to secure the place. I didn’t realize I was being scammed. Mr Walker also sent me a "lease" to sign, and I hadn’t even viewed the place. I told him I changed my mind and to issue me a refund. He sent me a form to sign for a refund. Never saw my money again. I notified Craigslist, moneygram, and FTC. I emailed him a few times and never heard back. Lesson learned- never send money ahead of time. Also, the owner of the condo, that he wrote on the lease, was not the owners listed on the Orange Cty Property Appraiser site. He called himself the "landlord" of the condo.
