Type of a scam Phishing

I was left a voice mail on my home phone. It reads as follows: "Good morning this is Sgt. Michael Young. I’m with the Allen County Sheriffs office. I’m attempting to make contact with Mrs. ***. If this is ***  upon receiving this message I do need to immediately contact me at 2260-267-7293. that’s 260-267-7293. It is in reference to a matter that does require your immediate attention. It is very important in nature. Thanks."

When I called, I was told that the Honorable David Avery had issued a warrant for my arrest for two counts. Contempt of Court 002-INCD-0311 and a Failure to appear 003-INCD-8709 for failure to appear for a for Jury Duty on June 17th. Supposedly, I’d been sent a notification on April 27th 2017. I was told I could tell no one about this, including my son who I told him I was going to bring with me as he was on his way over. He sounded extremely official, and there were mobile rules and guidelines and I needed to stay on the line with him at all times, and could not tell anyone the nature of the call.

He told me I needed to purchase $1,492.27 in ITunes cards to pay the bond for these warrants. He went so far as to tell me to go to the store to buy them, with him in contact with me at all times. My son was with me. The Store clerk asked why I needed these and told me my card was not accepting the charge. I would need to use more than one card. She then told me it was a scam, to hang up and call the police. I made police report. They told me they could do nothing as no money had changed hands. The Fort Wayne police did not even ask me for the phone number and address this Sgt. Michael Young had given me so they could look into it. I would think it would have behooved them to go to that address and arrest these scammers.
