Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
We believe that we have been caught up in a scam for monies that we never knew about We were contacted 3 weeks ago by phone that was unlisted and the spokesman asked me to confirm the name and address of the Company we asked why and he said that we had been given a 2 year membership for a magazine called NATIONAL BUSINESS TO BUSINESS GUIDE DISTRIBUTED by a Company called ALL PURPOSE BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS INC.
As we had not agreed to any advertisment / placement with the Company or it’s Magazine we were advised to check on the Company at the ScamPulse.com and found the number of scams by this Company had been recorded One of which indicated an exact version of the invoice amount that the Company said we owed them.
We received last week an invoice for $799.95 via a letter from Canada – and again this must be a scam as the address on the invoice (523481) is 1320 State Route 9 #3340 Champlain NY 12919-5007 USA There was no email address and why would a Company based in the USA have an invoice mailed from Canada.
We spoke to the Local Sheriff in Orlando about our concerns and he suggested that we should phone the phone they provided and before beginning the conversation tell the operator that the phone call was been recorded – I we did this and phoned 1 – 855 561 4637 and the operator put the phone down on us – Exactly as the Sheriff said they would.
Further investigation has indicated that the Federal Trade Commission Consumer information is aware of this Companies activities here in the US and in Canada
Therefore and to this end – we have no intention of paying this fictitious invoice and would be grateful if the ScamPulse.com would take this up on our behalf and report it as a scam. Thank you .
