Type of a scam Employment

I was offered a Personal assistant job through my job search website, which is supposed to verify the legitimacy of employers using their platform. This person offered a job paying 500 a week to do errands for him and donate to charities. He sent a "Legitimate" check in the mail as my first payment and as funds for the first job. Only to change the "buying toys for kids" task to "Buying gift cards and sending them to me" task. I went to the bank to deposit the check and asked if it was a valid check, which the teller said it was, and they gave me the funds in my account. After doing my task, He wanted to send me more checks, and requested I mobile deposit them, red flag. The checks were rejected as fraudulent, and I took it to the bank manager and asked them to look into it. He determined I was being scammed and taken advantage of. And then lo and behold, the first check which I deposited in person comes back returned. And I am -2300$ in my account. Now Chase bank has frozen my other accounts, rendering me Destitute despite being a victim of fraud, despite me filing an official police report against the scammer with the help of the local branch manager and opening completely new and uncompromised accounts. Now I can’t pay my bills, I’m in the red, and Chase Bank Fraud department refuses to cooperate despite them agreeing I was a victim of fraud, and telling me over the phone "I am not at fault". If a job offer ever sounds too good to be true or seems to be just what you wanted, it isn’t. My life is ruined and I may end up homeless at the end of the month because of this guy and the fact that Chase bank won’t work with me despite the efforts of the actual people on the ground that I spoke with.
