Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

Initial means of contact Not applicable

Beware: I requested for a loan. I received an email last week letting me know I’ve been approved. I was told I required collateral. If no collateral or Cosignor was an option then the final option would be to pay an “insurance premium fee”upfront, a total of $1,950.00.
As soon as I heard that red flags go off because I’ve heard of these scams over and over how they take the money and avoid you after. So I hesitated releasing any of my information and told him I have to think about it. He of course sounded like a professional who spoke like he knew about finances but ultimately I smelled the scam right off the hop and quickly retracted myself and told him no that’s not an option and hung up. I of course googled and found there were others this happen to so I hope anyone who see these alerts are warned not to go ahead with these scammers. NO lender will ask for money upfront it is ILLEGAL to do so. Please do not fall for this trap🙏

Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

Looking to get a mortgage for a home. My credit is not great. The company was willing to help. To secure the loan, I had to send them $3500 for them to purchase life insurance for me. It didn’t sound right to me that I would have to buy first in order to receive the loan. Looked on ScamPulse.com and they are not listed. I think this is a scam. I did not go through with it.
