Type of a scam Employment

"*** ***" contacted my daughter to offer her a job. She has her profile on Linked In and Zip Recruiter. He gave ALOT of personal information in the email as to why he was hiring. He was in Canada, recently had surgery, wife died…all depressing. I called ADP’s headquarters to verify him. They do have a *** *** that works there but the woman that answered the phone said he would not use a personal email, but one with @adp.com. I also reached out to *** *** with ADP and never heard back. I reported it to their fraud dept. Once we responded we were interested, "***" texted me immediately to see if i would talk. He also sent me an email giving me more personal information about his son and deceased wife, sent a photo collage of them all and requested personal information about myself so we could get to know each other. That’s when I decided I didn’t want to further pursue the purpose of his scam. I’m not certain of his scam, but i feel it would have moved to him either sending me an email where I opened a link or he would send a check and I’d cash it only to find it’s not real. I believe he would have tried to take money, so that is why i indicated this on my form.
