Adam Travel pretended to be Delta Airlines. I went to purchase a one way ticket that I had earlier confirmed with Delta was $68 and but Adam Travel told me it was no longer available but for $120. I purchased the ticket on Friday 2/23 and was told I had 24 hours to cancel. Later when I realized this was an agency I tried to call to cancel but the same person from Friday answered and told me they were closed til Monday. I confirmed through Delta that the ticket was still offered at $68 but that agency had charged me a booking fee of $52. On Monday I called again to cancel and was told I could cancel and get $68 back but that I’d be liable forn$52 they called taxes. This company misrepresented who they were, they misled me what I was doing and failed to properly disclose fees and the purpose of the fees to allow me to make informed decision. They lied about availabilty on weekend and made cancelling an impossible process to the extent that I almost ended up with 2 reservations by flight time because I had reserved direct with delta when I realized what they were. Thankfully Delta was able to cancel their own reservation. This was also elder abuse as the victim, my aunt is over 65.
