Type of a scam Phishing
"Lieutenant McDaniels" called saying I was in contempt of court for failing to appear as as expert witness at a court case (they definitely did some research and knew my profession). This scammer told me I needed to complete a signature verification process but first I had to pay $3,000 in bonds which would be returned to me tonight if I passed the test. Told me I could not hang up and call back later because "the process has already started"… at which point I immediately hung up. They are doing their research and knew some eerie details!
