Type of a scam Other

I was contacted by text message. It said it payed $500 a week for having ad signs for Bud on your car. So I "applied" to the ad. Within 3 days I received a check in the mail for $3,650. It hadn’t note in the envelope to call a # and give my name, the amount of the check and the check #, so I did. That # is also disconnected now. I waited two daysforcthe check to clear. But within those two days they had the nerve to ask me if I had $1,000 to send to the detailed who was supposed to come and install the stickers, and I replied if I had the money I wouldn’t be trying to make some extra cash doing the ad. So the deposit was out into my savings for 2 days and afterwards it would be moved to my checking. So I called my bank to see if they could move it and the teller said she would move it so we hung up. Later on in the day I checked my account and it had been removed all together. So I call the bank again and was told the check was deemed as fictitious. Mean while I harvested to reach the person texting me and the # was no longer in service. Later on in the day after I had talked to the bank, I received another text from a new #. Says his name is "Jim". He said he had to get on another line and asked me if the deposit was ready. Well I told him his "check" had gotten pulled and was deemed as ficticious. Told him he had slot of nerve scamming people like that. And that I was going to report him. Haven’t heard from him anymore. The check was Meridian Title Corp. Which I take it was false on their part. The first phone # was out of NY. The envelope the check came in was addressed from Monica Phillips, 745 S Colfax St, Martinsville, IN 46151. Tracking # 9405 5016 9932 0096 8094 81. The 1st # with the ad application was 646-844-9970.
