Just took a call from a lady representing ACTION LOCATING CORPORATION, 845-809-3152, asking if I could get a message to a person I know. She said my acquaintance had a complaint filed against him and gave me an 888 number for him to call with a "file" number. I asked her how she had my number as a contact number for my acquaintance and she said I was listed as a reference for him.
As soon as she hung up I immediately called back and there was one ring, a beep, and then the call was disconnected. I googled 845-809-3152 and found it is linked to troubling info. The name of the company, ACTION LOCATING CORPORATION, is listed as an inactive company and the phone number is listed as "unsafe."
