Received a call using a legitimate Verizon local store asking to verify 2 iPhone 11 phone purchases to our account.
Caller wouldn’t give me the account associated or phone number associated with the purchase. Did not give out that information. Called Verizon and they stated it is a spoofing technique.
Verizon would send an email asking for online purchase verification.

The caller said he was calling from Verizon and wanted to confirm if I ordered 2 iPhones to be sent to New Mexico. When I said no, he asked for my addressed, PIN and SSN. He sent me texts that looked like they were from Verizon. I stated I would not give it out, and asked for a number to call Verizon back. He was becoming quite belligerent. He gave me the number 802-276-6476. When I called it, he answered "hello" and I hung up. Around the same time, I received an email from Verizon notifying me of a password change to my account, which I did not change. I called Verizon and they said there is no record of any of these calls. I changed my PIN and password. Verizon checked the phone number and said they had no such number in their directories.
