I’m filing this scam report because an Insight Pest Solutions sales agent came to the front door of our home offering a 2-site visit promotional offering to acquaint new potential clients with what and how they provide services for a fixed price of $109 plus $7.77 tax. Now, Insight has been sold to TERMINIX. If any of the Insight business owners and/or office billing managers now work for TERMINIX, you need to take steps to avoid unauthorized and scamming use of your signature. In my case I was led to believe I was only signing a VISA charge for the above described 2-visit promo, but they imported my VISA charge card signature onto their 4 page annual services agreements. I DISPUTE HAVING SIGNED AN ANNUAL SERVICE AGREEMENT. The sales agent at my front door never discussed nor shared any details (written or verbal) about an annual service contract. He simply reviewed the promotional offering. He said a receipt would be forwarded to me via my email. I made numerous phone calls to the Eden Prairie Insight Pest Solutions office to clear this up. They would never provide the first and last name of a contact in their organization with the authority to correct their mistake. Fortunately, a few months after I authorized payment for this 2-site visit promo offering and after the above transaction had cleared, my USAA Federal Saving Bank contacted me advising of scamming use attempts made to my credit card account number. They asked me to cut up this VISA card and they issue a new one to me. The only difficulty I am faced with now is having TERMINIX (who apparently bought Insight Pest Solutions) continuing their efforts to collect $376.40 on a previously falsified Insight Pest Solutions Annual Agreement. For some years I have used PayPal for all online product purchases. The I-pad I used my finger to sign-off on for this purchase appeared to look just like those I sign at the Home Depot, Menard’s and Loews. The only thing on the screen was the one time charge. Finally, always be suspicious of uninvited sales agents knocking at your front-door where they tell you a receipt and typewritten description of the service they are selling "will be sent to you via your email in a day or two." A similar report has been mailed to TERMINIX and the Office of MN Attorney General, Kieth Ellison.
