I’m an aspiring actress and received an email from them about a commercial. They asked for the typical stuff such as name, height, resume, etc. They said I was selected and would receive a check upfront. They had me sign a contract and everything (all online). Mind you, I was contacted through email and/or text. I called the number they text me from and would never get an answer. Basically they said mail out the check and once I did to email them a picture of the deposit receipt. It also said that the check would be coming from one of 5 different companies. The check was for almost $5,000. I did deposit it but something (Jesus) told me to put the production company name in Twitter. So I did. The first thing that popped up was someone who was contacted by the same company and said they were a scam. That confirmed my suspensions.
