Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I have been signing up with mystery shop companies, and received a call from one that said that they were a consulting company and went through approx. 5 minutes of phone interview with me. They said that they felt I was a suitable candidate, would send me an info package in the mail, and that I was to call on Friday at noon to let them know if I had received the package and would get further explanation/direction from there.

I received an envelope with a welcome letter from "James Harrison, Director, Client Evaluation Division, Prime Evaluation Consultants". This used the name Accenture Insight & Analyst Services LLC at the top. The first sentence referred to them as Accenture Evaluation Consultants. The second page was from "Stacey Johnson" who was who made the initial phone contact, and was listed as my "Evaluation Manager". Enclosed also was a "cheque" payable to me in the amount of $2750.23, with the business name of "Accenture Asset Management" and gives the Mississauga address. It is purportedly drawn on HSBC Bank Canada, Yorkville branch, Toronto.

Becoming suspicious, I began doing some searching, and after calling the bank was able to confirm that the cheque was bogus.
