Type of a scam Credit Cards
Would not give any other information (no web site….can’t find any information on the business name: Able Dorcy, they also gave the name Great Lakes Capital (I believe this is a real estate company in South Bend IN….Google search)
Called me to tell me my husband has a Pending Civil Claim with Discover Credit Card. Letters and subpoena has been sent to an address he hasn’t lived in for 22 years, they had our current address but not the last address where we lived (suspicious).
Told me with fees and interest my husband owed $10,000. but the lady was friendly and said to discuss it with my husband. Very nice and non-threating.
My husband is also a widower, so I didn’t know if any of this could have pertained to his late wife’s financials.
We called Discover directly, there is no record of my husband at all (since he never had a credit card with them). Looked up the phone number they provided and there are many other reports of the exact same thing happening to others.
Thankfully we caught this before we really got scammed
